Ordinary Love ♥

 

I still have your C.D. of
Urbandub with me. I know this is one of your favorite tracks from this album. I,
too, became attached to this particular song and hey, come to think of it, our
love is no ordinary at all.

 

1. We barely text each other. Except
if we’re going out or I’m inviting you to something. I’m not the
“nasaan-ka-nanaman” kind of girlfriend like I was before. That is because I
know your routines and usual whereabouts, and if ever you’re going out on your
occasional gimmicks, you tell me beforehand. I know, and your mom assured me so
too. =)

 

2. I know your friendster
password. Sometimes keeping their privacy in friendster is such a big deal
to some people. Well, at least for someone I know, but not you. So far, you’re
consistent with your stories about who’s who (past or present) and I appreciate
you for being honest with me.

 

3. You let me do what I want
to do. No restrictions. Vices are allowed (not encouraged though), you’re
very supportive of me being in a band, you jam with my friends and you trust me
regarding these things; maybe because it’s the same ground where we two knew
each other first.

 

4. You met my family. You
may not be my first boyfriend, but you’re the first one to meet my family. From
Papa to my 2-year old niece, everyone in my family knows you. This is such a
big deal for me and I’m very proud of you for being so brave in front of them.
We know we’re not going to screw things up because we know each other better
than anyone else.

 

5. Although I’m not emo, and
you are never punk, and although I don’t like anime just as you dislike
watching adult swim, we still had gazillion things to talk about. From politics
to aswang to movies and music to
who’s dating who.

 

6. You sure know how to make
me laugh. Your crazy antics, your silly dance to R&B and pop songs
(which sometimes annoy me but find it cute anyway), our wacky poses on cam,
your corny jokes – all these and more are enough to brighten my days and forget
about what I should be whining about to
you. Hmmp!

 

7. We hardly talk about the
future or what’s going to happen to our individual lives or even to us.
We’re both savoring life as of the moment. No expectations, no pressures of
what’s going to happen next and look, we’re on our 8^th month now.

 

8. And above all, you love me
as me. You love un-glamorous me! I never heard a single comment from you to
change what I wear, to grow my hair longer or what color my nails should be.

 

I have a million
reasons in my mind to thank you about: for teaching me how to be patient, for
making me happy, for respecting me and…

 

Oh, I just love you.
